Last night, I joined my dad, Cornelius Connolly, and his cronies at the Elks Lodge to try out my new mic and to hone my interview skills. I learned alot, not only about the hardware but about the men involved. What struck me the most was what little they had and how happy they were growing up.
A simpler time.
While my kids want the next iPhone and Xbox, my dad and his friends were happy to have a stolen mop handle and rubber bicycle tubing so they could play games with their friends.
