About

This program is an audio interview project, specifically geared toward seniors, born in 1940 or before. Maura Longueil, owner of Abbey Knoll Photography and Scott Lebeda, owner of Good Natured Dog Productions are collecting a series of audio life experiences from local residents, specifically, asking questions about their younger lives. Here’s some sample questions so you can get an idea what we’re doing:
  • Describe your hometown when you were growing up.

  • Who was the major sports team?

  • Was there a local movie theatre?

  • Did you go to dance halls?

  • What music did you like? Where could you listen to music?

  • When was the first time you went to the beach?

  • Tell me about your first date.

  • Did segregation affect you?

The project will be included as the only art/culture submission in the Hanover 300 Project. It will also be broadcast on WCAI radio station Woods Hole, and we are working on getting WATD (Marshfield) onboard as well. The series will also be part of an art installation at the Hanover public library during the month of June (if we get it done in time).
